ECG - Electrocardiogram
Every heartbeat sends out electronic impulses, which can be detected and recorded by an electrocardiogram (ECG). A picture of the electronic action of the heart is drawn and it allows us to draw conclusions of possible heart diseases.
Resting ECG
The recording of the ECG in our practice makes the following possible:
- Examination as proof/exclusion of a coronary heart disease (CHD- prestage of a heart attack.)
- Therapy control for CHD
- Proof and exclusion of cardiac dysrhythmia
24 - hour ECG
KContinual mobile ECG- recording
This continual ECG-recording is done over a time period of 24-hours and is done by use of the very same procedure as a regular ECG. The patient wears the ECG-machine on the body during this time period. This procedure may help for the following:
- For finding proof and exclusion of cardiac dysrhythmia
- For supervision of undergoing therapy
- For finding the cause of dizziness and collapse
Ergometry
Exercise Echocardiogram (exercise-ECG) by use of the bicycle-ergometer
During the recording of the exercise-ECG the patient is physically active. This enables us to record the performance of the heart, possible circulatory disorders, cardiac dysrhythmia, or high blood pressure. This procedure is helpful for the following:
- Examination for exclusion/proof of a coronary heart disease (CHD-prestage of a heart attack)
- Therapy control for high blood pressure and CHD
- Assessment of the ability to cope with stress of healthy patients and patients with heart diseases
- Proof and exclusion of cardiac dysrhythmia
