Preventative Health Care Examination

Medical Examinations

Thorough bodily examination after 36 years of age

When a patient is examined regularly, a wide range of diseases and symptoms can be diagnosed at an early stage. As a consequence, an outburst of multiple serious diseases and a lengthy progress of that disease can be prevented.

Every patient, insured by a statutory health insurance company and of over 35 years of age, is entitled to an examination in a two year interval. This thorough health care examination may be realized without current symptoms. It does not only cover a thorough bodily examination by a doctor but also further laboratory analyses.
In detail this examination consists of the following:

  • Blood testing with diagnosis of cholesterol and fasting blood sugar value
  • Urine analysis
  • Collecting data of the medical history
  • Whole body examination
  • Consultation and preventative care

In many cases, further testing may be necessary (e.g. ultrasounds, exercise-ECG, extended blood analysis etc.) These tests are not covered by health insurance companies but are possible to be carried out for direct payers. Please contact us for further information or if you wish to make use of the examination. Also, feel free to contact us if you wish to make an appointment that does not fall into your two-year period.

Early cancer diagnosis for men

Yearly preventative check-up for men after their 46th birthday

With over 26 percent, cancer is still one of the most common causes of death in Germany. However, many cases have a very good chance of recovery. The earlier cancer is detected, the chances of a better recovery increase. Hence, regular check- ups are the safest methods.
For this reason, we offer yearly bodily examinations for men after their 45th year of age, consisting of gathering the man’s medical history, a bodily examination and counseling, as well as analysis of a stool sample for hidden blood. This examination is covered by your insurance company. A diagnosis of the PSA-amount is possible, but needs to be paid for privately. The amount of this protein gives information about possible prostate cancer and is medically sensible to be carried out next to a scanning of the prostate gland.

Skin Cancer Screening

Possible for insured persons from 35 years, every two years.

A screening to diagnose skin cancer is needed every two years for all insured patients. The skin cancer rate is dramatically increasing due to the rise of rays of the sun and depletion of the ozone layer. Therefore, we offer a so called skin screening that may be carried out in two year interval after the patients’ 35th birthday.

This screening consists of an inspection of a patient’s entire skin to detect skin cancer in its early stages and pre-stages. This test is covered by health insurance companies.

Early detection of Bowel Cancer

Uncomplicated and diagnostically conclusive

An uncomplicated method for an early diagnosis of bowel cancer is a Fecal Occult Blood Test (FOBT), in which a stool sample on a chemically treated paper is analyzed. Men, between the ages of 50 and 54, may make use of this test as prevention for this disease every year.
A colonoscopy, as an alternative to the FOBT, can be carried out for patients after the age of 54.
