Ultraschall

An ultrasound examination is a precise and pain-free method for first time diagnoses and follow-up examinations of diseases in various fields. Our practice has an advanced ultrasound scanner available with diverse ultrasonic heads and the possibility to perform Color-Coded Doppler sonographies (CCDS), which e. g. can make vasoconstrictions visible.

Abdomen-Sonography

Ultrasound scans of the abdominal organs

The ultrasound scan is an examination of the abdomen which shows the liver, gallbladder, spleen, pancreas, kidney, lymphatic glands and vessels two-dimensionally. This method makes conditions such as stones, tumors or cysts in the abdominal organs visible. The Color-Coded Doppler Sonography gives further information about the blood flow to the organs, e. g. the blood pressure in blood vessels.

Sonography of the Thyroid gland

Ultrasound of the thyroid gland

A sonography images the size and structure of the thyroid gland and enables us to make a diagnosis about possible changes and abnormalities. Also other illnesses of this organ can be seen and controlled in their progress. This includes diseases such as the following:

  • nods
  • augmentations
  • chronic inflammation
  • etc...

Duplex-sonography of blood vessels

Ultrasound scans of the neck vessels, leg vessels and, various other vessels of the human body

The duplex-sonography (sometimes called duplex-ultrasound) is a procedure that allows physicians to take images of the vessels of the human body. Any restrictions causing circulatory disorder will be detected (the most common one is the atherosclerosis.) For this purpose the machine measures the speed of the blood inside the vessels (arteries and veins.) This examination serves as a precaution against strokes or vascular occlusions (thrombosis.)

Echocardiography

Ultrasound scans of the heart

Our heart is a natural phenomenon: in the course of a lifetime it beats about 2.2 billion times and pumps approximately 250 million liters blood through the body. Efficient examination methods exist to serve as a protection against fatale heart diseases or decrease of the heart muscle capacity. We receive precise data about the capacity, the size of the cardiac chambers, the function and condition of the heart valves by carrying out this ultrasound examination.
